Frank Myers Auto Maxx Welcomes 79-Time World Wrestling Champ To Winston Salem

Winston-Salem used car dealership Frank Myers Auto Maxx is excited to announce that Ricky Morton, one half of the championship wrestling tag team The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express”, will help collect toys for less fortunate children on Saturday December 18, 2010 at the dealership.

Morton will sign autographs and pose for pictures with fans 12-2 p.m.

Frank Myers Auto Gives Back To Community

”For every toy that folks bring in for us to give less fortunate children, Frank Myers Auto will match their contribution and donate a toy as well,” said dealership owner Tracy Myers.

”Plus for every car we sell while Ricky is here, we’ll donate another $100 worth of toys. But it’s not really about selling cars,” Myers said. ”It’s about helping the families that need it the most during this Christmas season.”

Myers hopes people also will make monetary contributions when they pose with Morton.

About Ricky Morton

Morton  has held seventy-nine championships throughout his career with the WWF/WCW/TNA/NWA, and is best known for his appearances with Robert Gibson, with whom he has been a four-time NWA World Tag Team Champion as one half of tag team The Rock ‘n’Roll Express.  Myers says he was able to bring Morton to town because of several ‘inside connections’ he has in the wrestling industry.

”Love wrestling or hate wrestling, everyone knows that Morton is a household name around the world. We are so thrilled he’s taking time from her busy travel schedule to visit our Winston-Salem used car dealership,” Myers said. ”He’s helping us go above and beyond for a great cause and we look forward to collecting a lot of toys and writing a large check to help out families in need on Saturday the 18th of December.”

The announcement was made this morning during a press conference held at Uncle Franks Training Center in front of a standing room only crowd.

The Outreach Alliance for Babies’ fundraiser is an evening of jazz, food, a baby fashion show and a silent auction. The 2010 event will be held Saturday, Nov. 13 at the Sundance Plaza Hotel in Winston-Salem, NC from 6:30 to 9:30. Frank Myers Auto Maxx is proud to serve as the Title Sponsor of the Sixth Annual Outreach Alliance For Babies,” said Tracy Myers, owner of the popular Winston-Salem used car dealership. “We’re pleased to support this amazing cause in its efforts to provide clothing and other items such as car seats to infants in our community where families are facing financial challenges.”

Founded in May 2005, the Alliance has provided baskets of baby necessities to more than 600 needy local families. Suggestions of families come from various organizations, including the Department of Public Health, Exchange/SCAN and Forsyth Medical Center. Each infant receives a layette, which is hand-assembled by executive director and founder Phyllis Sample Bonds. The baskets hold onesies, diapers, a sleeper, washcloths, a sleep and play set, a diaper bag, bibs, books, burp/lap cloths, snuggies and formula. It costs about $130 to fill one basket.
